Christian Bale...The Man of 'Physical Transformations'

Hollywood actor Christian Bale, who is known for making drastic physical transformations for his movies, has once again stunned everyone with his look for his upcoming movie 'Backseat'. The 43 year old, 'Batman' actor who regularly undergoes dramatic weight transformations for roles, will play George W. Bush's second-in-command for the upcoming movie Backseat. Appearing at a Beverly Hills press conference for 'Hostiles', Bale sported a shaven head and looking much bigger than before.





Appearing at a Beverly Hills press conference for 'Hostiles', Bale sported a shaven head and was much bigger than before. At the Toronto Film Festival, when people asked him how he managed to put on this much of weight, Bale,  said, "I've just been eating a lot of pies."



His weight transformation for movies are amazing. Bale's look to play Cheney is a far cry from the emaciated figure he had in 2004's 'The Machinist', when he weighed in at just 120 lbs. This  was the first role in which Bale drastically altered his body, and then he took it as his habit to alter the physical size .in 2005, he gained 30 lbs of muscle to play the role of  'Batman'. After that he again loose weight  for 'The Fighter' in 2010 and gained too much  weight for 2013's 'American Hustle'.



The movie is Bale reunite with Adam McKay the director of  'The Big Short' d  and actor Steve Carell, who will play Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. 'Backseat' also stars Amy Adams as Lynne Cheney, while Sam Rockwell and Bill Pullman will play George W. Bush and Nelson Rockefeller.



Bale’s most amazed physical transformation to date came back in 2004, when he played a man with crippling insomnia. Bale dieted around more than four months prior to filming, losing around 28kg and bringing his total body weight down to an undernourished 54kg. 

Bale was born in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. Bale has remarked, "I was born in Wales but I'm not Welsh – I'm English". He had his childhood in Wales, Surrey and Dorset in England, and Portugal. Bale said that the frequent relocation had a major influence on his career choice. His first performance was a commercial for the fabric softener Lenor in 1982. A year later, he appeared in a Pac-Man cereal commercial playing a child rock star. In 1984, he made his first stage play  in The Nerd on London's West End with Rowan Atkinson.
